The South Australian government has spent a lot of money on today’s state budget, with the North South Corridor at the center.
The government’s plan to complete the project will cost $ 8.9 billion and will create 4000 jobs.
But 400 buildings are yet to be discovered, with major construction planned to run from 2023 to 2030.
Construction, sports and infrastructure are all very quickly focused on, $ 44 million for upgrades to Memorial Drive, and $ 45 million for Hindmarsh Stadium.
All public schools will receive grants of between $ 20,000 to $ 100,000 for emergency care, while state kindergartens receive $ 30,000 each.
The initial projects for the new Women and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide will receive an additional $ 135 million, while the overall health budget has increased by more than $ 1 billion over two years due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
“We would not point out that it is just an explosion, but it does provide additional resources in a critical area of health,” said Treasurer Rob Lucas.
All spending is costly, and this year’s deficit has hit $ 2.59 billion.
Government debt is expected to reach $ 33 million by 2024.
