Hundreds of people took to the streets of Turbat in Pakistan’s Balochistan province to protest against what they saw as the “brutal killings” of human rights activist Karima Baloch.
They have raised slogans against the Pakistani government’s response to Karima’s mysterious death in Toronto recently. Karima had fled to Canada after fleeing Pakistan a few years ago due to major threats to his life. He was found dead in Ontario Lake in the port of Toronto on Monday.
Condemning the death of Baloch leader in Toronto, Kenneth Roth, the executive director of Human Rights Watch (HRW) on Friday stressed the need for a “thorough investigation” into the mysterious death of an assassinated activist.
