An explosion in a city east of Toronto has left at least eight people injured.
Paramedics were called to a residence on Woodbine Avenue on Queensdale Avenue, south of Mortimer Avenue, just after 5 p.m.
The type of explosion has not been revealed since Friday night, but damage was seen on the first floor and part of the window was removed.
Officials said four people were examined and treated at the scene and four or five people made their way to the hospital. All injuries were considered minor.
A Toronto fire spokesman said four of the occupants were evacuated.
