COVID CRISIS : Priti Patel unveils new UK quarantine travel rules as death toll hits 39,548

PRITI Patel announced the government’s plan for isolation this afternoon, with new restrictions for travelers arriving in the UK revealed.

Priti Patel has set out a set of rules for solo travelers that will force everyone coming to the UK to stay home for 14 days.

The Home Secretary said the measures would be “temporary” and “temporary”, as he warned that the UK was now at high risk of coronavirus cases coming from abroad.

He said: “The bottom line is to protect people’s health and keep the UK safe.

“These methods are scientifically and socially supported, and it is important to save people’s lives.

“Let’s not lose track of our progress.”


The Home Secretary defends Government’s way of looking at new arrivals in the country to get a coronavirus.

Priti Patel said that screening all passengers at airports in the UK when the infection rate is too high will have a negative impact on the number of cases in the country.

He also added that Covid-19 brand checks were delivered to passengers from Wuhan on January 22, all over China on January 25, Japan on February 8 and Iran on February 25.
