Here’s what you need to know about the new Pasha de Cartier

French maison invites five creative trailblazers to join in their latest viewing campaign

There is a reason why the new ‘Pasha de Cartier’ watch looks so common. This is because the clock was first introduced in 1985 and, like many of our favorite memories from the Eighties, goes back a few decades later.

It is also possible that Cartier’s five product brands of ‘Pasha’ look equally familiar. This famous face has made waves all over the world and, like the clock itself, they are their own image. There is award-winning actor Rami Malek best known for his role as Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, singer and activist Willow Smith who released his first single at the age of 10, a Korean pop star Jackson Wang, British actress Maisie Williams played Arya Stark in Game of Thrones and lastly an Australian artist, YouTube songwriter and songwriter Troye Sivan. This is one talented team. And if 2020 is all about promoting diversity, the campaign examines all the relevant boxes.

Cartier is also making an effort to separate the new timepieces of ‘Pasha’ as sex, a growing trend now in the watch industry. While most of the original architectural art is preserved, there are many updates available today. The collection is customized with leather, metal, much gold finish, diamonds and comes with flexible strings. You can even write your initials next to the crown. There are about 20 new models on the list and they cover both ends of the watchmaking clock, from fine pieces of fine jewelry to fine mechanical art. You can get it all in with polished diamonds, or be sophisticated with a tourbillon with a bone marrow in hand. And if you’re not sure which way you want to take, there’s a lot in between. The type you would like to get out of your room after 35 years.
