Samsung’s next-generation budget smartphone, the Galaxy A72, has been in the news for quite some time. Earlier this week, Geekbench acquired a Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A725F. Now, a phone with the same model number has been detected at the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification site.
The news comes with the kind of tipster that goes the same way The Tech Guy on Twitter first saw the listing. According to the information provided by tipster, the Samsung phone with model number SM-A725F is listed on the BIS website. This is the same model number listed in Geekbench (via GizmoChina).
For those of you who are not sure, the SM-A725F is the 4G variant model for the Galaxy A72 smartphone, while the SM-A726F, which has been the subject of many reports in the past 5G phone variations. Together the two lists show that the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G is nearing launch and could be the first budget smartphone launched by the company in 2021. The list also shows that the 4G variant for the Galaxy A72 will come with dual SIM support.
Meanwhile, Geekbench’s list reveals that the Galaxy A72 4G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G chipset. In addition, the listing revealed that the phone will come with 8GB of RAM and running on Android 11.
If it is believed that these reports believe that Samsung can offer 4G phone variants in markets like India where 5G connectivity is not available and the 5G variant of Galaxy A72 in the markets where 5G is available.
For side communication, the phone is connected to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It will come with 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP rear camera setup.
