PAKISTAN NEWS: Pakistan reports more than 1,650 new coronavirus infections, 35 people have died

ISLAMABAD: 1,656 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across Pakistan in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,249 858, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Sunday.

The latest NCOC figures show that 1,656 people were found to be infected with the virus when 50,779 samples were tested nationwide 24 hours ago. This has taken the quality level to 3.26%.

In addition, another 35 Pakistanis were infected with the virus during this time period, taking the national death toll of coronaviruses to 27,866.

Pakistan has reported less than 2,000 daily counts on the eighth consecutive Sunday (today). In addition, the country also saw a level of confidence below 4% on the eighth day in a row.

Last week, Pakistan estimated at about 725,632 doses of coronavirus vaccine administered each day. At that rate, it will take another 60 days to manage enough amounts for another 10% of the population.
