PAKISTAN NEWS: Prime Minister Imran Khan shared his New Year’s resolution

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday shared his decision for the new year.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said his decision was to complete two ambitious projects: global health inclusion and ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry.

“2020 has been a difficult year for us and for people around the world because of COVID-19,” he said. “But, by God’s grace, we have gone better than most. We have not only protected our people but also saved them from starvation.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan said his government was “moving forward in making Pakistan a social welfare state”, adding that the Ehsaas program provides social security, adding that the government’s health card system provides the poor with access to appropriate medical care.

“My decision for the new year 2021 is to complete two projects,” he said. This includes the provision of “health care for all citizens”, whose Prime Minister has already been deported to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will now be presented in Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan.

He hoped that other provinces would repeat the process.

According to the second resolution, the Prime Minister said his government would launch a “nationally acclaimed ‘Koi Bhuka Na Soyay’ project [no one should go to bed hungry] under the Ehsaas program”.

Responding to the Prime Minister’s tweet, Punjab’s Prime Minister Usman Buzdar said the Sehat Sahulat program had been launched in seven districts across the province and included 500,000 families.
