French fashion house Balmain celebrated ten years of hiring art director Olivier Rousteing with a catwalk show featuring a host of celebrity models including Naomi Campbell, former French President Carla Bruni, Milla Jovovich and Natalia Vodianova.
Models marched on the stage of a packed auditorium on the Seine River in their recycled clothing that featured pieces of hollow leather, clad in chains, and embroidered with brightly colored jackets or trench coats.
At the end of the show, the designer took his bow in front of a happy crowd, surrounded by more than a dozen models dressed in ornate dresses wrapped in sequins.
The label held thousands of fans in the hall at a two-day event that included games by Jesse Jo Stark, Doja Cat and Franz Ferdinand.
Many brands have hosted in-house fashion shows during Paris Fashion Week starting on October 5, as Covid-19 infection rates were slower and the reduction in limits allowed for the resumption of suspended events during the epidemic.
Exhibitors at the Balmain exhibition can buy food and drink as well as branded goods including 850 euros ($ 986) sneakers and hair cosmetic bags.
