More than 40,000 UAE flags and 5,200 beautiful lighthouses were added to celebrate National Day.
The UAE Capital and its outer edges are adorned with national flags and decorative lights ahead of the 49th national day.
Abu Dhabi Municipality said it had decorated the city with more than 40,000 flags in the UAE and installed 5,200 lighthouses to celebrate National Day.
Decorative lamps are designed to convey the values of patriotism and nationalism of the UAE, and the displays reflect positive expressions of national unity. Some others have phrases for the national anthem, “Eishy Bilady” in Arabic, which means’ our country has lived a long time ‘and words such as’ Our martyrs’ are a symbol of our glory’.
Decorative lights cover all the Abu Dhabi highways and landmarks, 11 public squares and surrounding areas, 12 bridges in the city of Abu Dhabi, and other public buildings.
Abu Dhabi’s suburbs including Al Shahama, Al Rahba, Bani Yas, Mafraq, Mohamed Bin Zayed City and Khalifa City are also decorated with UAE flags and lights.
The Abu Dhabi Corniche, as one of the favorite places for residents and tourists, has a unique decoration with a bright light.
The municipality said it was focusing on safety and security standards. “We were determined to use the most advanced types of electrical wiring to install decorative lights, in order to protect public safety,” the municipality said.
