The Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is spreading worldwide. Many more will infect you before all nations can eliminate it. In preparation for possible augmentation of disease, the United Arab Emirates has transformed the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) into a field hospital.
A thousand beds are readily available
Plans are underway to use DWTC as a field hospital with enough space for 3,000 patients. The first phase of the program has begun and 1,000 beds are available as of Thursday. Authorities said more beds would be available when needed and when.
Dubai has already taken steps to increase the volume of its treatment facilities. The UAE is fully prepared to handle all Coronavirus cases. There are many treatments available and health care professionals are ready to respond to infection.
At present there are between 4,000 to 5000 beds available in Dubai hospitals if the disease is serious. Authorities were quick to say that skills can and will increase if necessary.
Five-star treatment for Coronavirus patients
Patients who forced themselves to isolate themselves in Dubai found their experience more comfortable than in many other countries. Authorities have been booking them in five-star hotels for their split time.
While there are a myriad of hospital beds available, these hotels can serve as treatment centers. Authorities are preparing to quickly turn them into field hospitals when the number of infections reaches a critical level.
