UAE NEWS: Covid-19 UAE allows Omani citizens to enter border points without ICA permission

Omanis should provide negative test results and border tests.

Oman citizens will be allowed to enter the UAE through international border entry points from November 16, without permission from the ICA.

The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Friday announced the release of Oman citizens on ICA approval, which allows them to travel freely across border checkpoints through Covid-19 surveillance measures.

Omanis entering the UAE will be required to disclose negative Covid-19 (PCR) negative test results obtained within 48 hours from the time of entry.

The test result must come from the accredited laboratories of the Sultanate of Oman.

They will also do another Covid-19 test when they arrive at the UAE entry point.

Citizens must follow all safety and security procedures in accordance with UAE approved guidelines, in addition to installing the Al Hosn tracking app.

Visitors from the Sultanate of Oman are obliged to undergo a PCR test on the fourth day after entering the UAE – for those living in the country for four days in a row.
