Abu Dhabi; The Department of Health and Prevention and NCEMA have announced a new public event planning law due to the spread of COVID-19, with the aim of ensuring high levels of prevention.
According to the new law, attending a wedding or a funeral is limited to the first of two relatives.
Total attendance at a wedding or a social event should not exceed 10 people; No buffets will be allowed. Preferably COVID-19 tests were performed on all attendees 24 hours prior to the event.
Attendance at funerals is limited to ten people and the number of people attending funerals has been reduced by two.
The number of people carrying luggage has been reduced to four to eight people while cemetery workers have to follow up with masks and cleaning tools used before and after the funeral.
