Abu Dhabi: His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Governor of Dubai, has approved the appointment of multi-departmental boards as part of efforts to improve the work of the provincial government and support the country’s development process.

The new appointments follow the recent reshuffle of the UAE Cabinet and aim to further the work of government councils and highlight their role in achieving the strategic objectives of the national unity government.

Drs. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, was appointed President of the UAE Climate Change and Environment Council, oversees the council’s efforts in drafting a national policy on climate change, environment and green development, and developing programs and projects to mitigate the effects of climate change and climate change. environmental cooperation.

It will also support the council’s efforts to oversee the implementation of the UAE Agricultural Growth Strategy, and represent the country in international and international organizations, as well as align state and local strategies, promote collaborative projects with private companies, and facilitate research-related studies.

Sheikh Mohammed has appointed Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Technology, as the President of the UAE Industrial Liaison Council, who aims to identify strategic guidelines and priorities in the UAE industry industry, develop related policies, legislation, procedures and incentives, and propose programs to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise between public and private organizations.

Sheikh Mohammed also endorsed the appointment of Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Social Development, as the President of the National Quality Council, which includes more than 20 local and local government officials and aims to strengthen co-operation between state and local authorities, harmonize policies and programs to support relevant to the private sector, and to encourage various authorities and institutions to adopt a quality health policy and to develop their activities, efforts and projects.

Under the same framework, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed endorsed the appointment of Buhumaid as President of the National Digital Technology Council, which was established to coordinate digital sector policies, programs and legislation, by developing policies and programs that will improve digital quality of life. government in areas related to the quality of digital life, nationally and internationally.
