UAE NEWS: Mohammed bin Rashid launches New Media Academy

His Highness , Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy President, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, launched the New Media Academy to prepare future workers in the fast-growing digital advertising sector.

Others in present were HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Governor of Dubai, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and the team, as well as numerous officials.

His superior Sheikh Mohammed published on his Twitter account a video containing the presentation of the New Media Academy, its aims and new educational programs.

He said, “Today, we have launched the New Media Academy to nurture a new generation of digital professionals. New Media is a new science, with its own tools and secrets, and we want our talent to be at the forefront of our mission. “

Sheikh Mohammed added, “This organization will assist the media in the public and private sectors and develop media content creators. New media provides job opportunities and supports the development process.”

Through the art of digital blogging, New Media Academy will offer a broad range of career-focused educational programs to grow social media content creators and develop them into new resources in digital marketing and social media.

The center aims to improve youth employment and give them the ability to lead as digital citizens in the new economy.

The customized curriculum, developed by well-known experts in media and digital marketing, will be delivered by a handful of internationally known scholars including Matthew Bailey of Duke University, among the world’s most sought-after Internet marketing experts; Juan Pablo Sanchez, Masterclass Master in the top 10 programs; and Caleb Gardner, former US leading strategist Barack Obama.

The New Media Academy will begin July 7, 2020 with critical qualifications available on the internet for digital marketing, social media and content creation open to full-time employees and students abroad.

The educational center will offer an Impact Digital Design Program aimed at training 20 media content creators per team and improving them in the life of creating full content. The two-month program, distributed through the 3-year Talent Development Strategy, will offer courses designed for students to carefully track their progress, develop digital life skills and enable them to create new online content.

The Social Media Development Program, to be launched on August 2, 2020, aims to develop the digital skills of 100 full-time employees in the public and private sectors, through the private sector.

The academy’s cutting edge curriculum is designed to encourage the development of complex and soft skills to enable students to lead successful digital marketing work.

Upon completion, graduates will be able to deliver social media strategies, create content for distribution across various digital media platforms, design interactive products for modern devices, and evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns. They will receive an internationally recognized certificate issued in the UAE upon completion of the program.

Some new and innovative modern programs will be added to the academy in the future, to equip media professionals in government and private institutions, who are eager to improve their expertise in digital content design.
