Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, held talks with his Iranian counterpart to discuss ongoing efforts to combat the coronavirus epidemic.

Sheikh Abdullah and Mohammad Javad Zarif reviewed the two nations’ strategies to reduce the spread of the virus during a video call, state media Wam reported.

Both officials emphasized the importance of supporting the global drive to develop the Covid-19 vaccine.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the need to strengthen international cooperation in order to overcome global health problems.

It also strengthened the unity of the UAE and other nations in the fight against the virus.

The two suspects also exchanged Eid Al Adha greetings during an online chat.
