UAE NEWS: The UAE is issuing car decoration laws, Covid surveillance systems for National Day celebrations

MOI calls on motorists to look at self-defense measures and set National Day Decoration rules
The Department of Internal Affairs and Traffic Management Directorate General, has announced the rules for car decoration for UAE National Day celebrations.

These guidelines have been issued so that citizens can celebrate 49th National Day safely – according to traffic laws and measures to monitor coronavirus Covid-19.

As previously announced by the authorities, festivals and gatherings are not allowed this year.

Other driver and passenger rules:

  • Traffic rules must be strictly obeyed
  • Do not cover the rear glass of the car with stickers or use a windshield sun shade
  • Do not stand on the roof of the car or stand outside its windows
  • Avoid doing car stunts
  • Do not disturb traffic congestion or block the road
  • Park in selected areas
  • Do not change the engine of your car to create noise, or make unauthorized additions to the engine structure or use anything that may block your view
  • Drivers and passengers should not use any type of spray
  • The maximum capacity of each vehicle should be limited to three people
  • Facial masks are mandatory and the skin tone should always be thick.
