Students can take over one test until they get the desired marks without repeating the highschool year.
Students publicly high schools within the UAE, who haven’t been able to join universities or other institutions of upper learning thanks to low grades, can join the university without repeating the highschool year.
Instead, they’re required to require the Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) in certain subjects, including Arabic, maths and English, to boost their grades and join university, in line with the Commission for educational Accreditation at the Department of Education (MoE).
EmSAT could be a national system of computer-based tests, in keeping with UAE national standards. These online tests measure the abilities and knowledge of 12th graders as they complete their basic education and advance to education. they supply decision-makers with details of faculty enrollment and placement.
Dr Muhammad Yousef Baniyas, the next education adviser and director of the tutorial Accreditation Commission within the Department of Education, told Emaratalyoum newspaper that the bulk of previously highschool graduates received low marks, starting from 50 to 60%.
They had to repeat their final exams and find the desired results of over 70 percent if they wanted to affix local universities.
He also said that the repetition process had many drawbacks. particularly, it carries an important financial burden on the scholar, their family and also the establishment, and requires the coed to figure harder physically and mentally to repeat highschool.
Baniyas said: “The EmSAT application was introduced as a condition of admission to convey these students the chance to enroll in universities, by taking tests in three courses in a very flexible manner, rather than repeating the entire year in highschool.”
He identified that staying within the EmSAT exams depends on the necessities for developing the technology or program that every student wants to pursue at university.
“For example, if a student wants to affix the school of Commerce, and his or her middle grades don’t meet the wants of a university or college, they’ll not repeat highschool classes,” Baniyas said.
“Instead they’re going to take EmSAT in Mathematics, English and Arabic, to induce the desired marks in these subjects to scrub up the topic.”
Baniyas emphasized that a student has the correct to require the EmSAT exam over once to get the desired marks, without the necessity to repeat highschool.
