UAE NEWS: UAE landmarks will illuminate the Bahraini colors tomorrow

The UAE will celebrate its 49th National Day in Bahrain on December 16.

Significant landmarks in the UAE will shine with Bahrain national colors as the country celebrates Bahrain National Day on December 16.

UAE airports will be decorated with Bahraini flags, and passengers from the country will be welcomed with flowers and souvenirs.

The UAE and Bahrain share historical ties dating back many decades. The political situation in both countries regarding regional and international problems “remains the same”, state news agency Wam said.

Both countries are committed to supporting “GCC, Arab and Islamic causes”.

“They follow a clear policy that aims to establish the foundations for stability, peace and tolerance around the world.

In 2000, relations between the two countries furthered the establishment of the ‘UAE – Bahrain Joint Executive Committee’.

The committee oversees the implementation of strategic ideas for their leadership to address regional challenges and strengthen their political, military, trade and cultural relations.

Economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in recent years, reflects the close integration of the two countries between their economies.

The UAE and Bahrain have signed economic and trade cooperation agreements, which have increased their trade volume to Dh28.7 billion by 2019.

Agreements to explore pan and use of external space for peaceful purposes; standards and quality assurance; and agriculture. An agreement to implement renewable energy projects between the Bahrain Executive Council (SCE) and the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR) has also been signed.
