Senior Emiratis at the entertainment venues in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman celebrated Eid Al Adha in a surprise visit to the Department of Social Development (MoCD).
MoCD teamed up with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to make the elders feel all the love and gratitude at that special event. Gifts were distributed, screens were e-mailed so that seniors could exchange greetings with their families.
“Smart Emiratis is the foundation for nation building. It is the responsibility of every member of the community to bring back what they have done to all of us,” said Alia Al Joker, director of MoCD’s Family Development Department.
Named ‘You Are Our Eid Joy’, a national process came to the MoCDsos center in collaboration with Emiratis ’in Ajman; Dubai Senior Emiratis Center at Dubai Health Forum; and the old age home of the Sharjah Social Services department. It comes as part of the UAE government’s efforts to ensure the happiness and well-being of older citizens.
Supporting the initiative, Mariam Al Tamimi, chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Commitment Council, said: “We at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank are very pleased to be working with the Department of Social Development to launch the Eid Joy program as part of integrating a culture of social responsibility. as a priority in the Emirati community. “
