UAE NEWS: UAE top strategist acknowledges visa restrictions in Pakistan

The Emirati and Israeli governments have reached an agreement on the issue of visas to grant Israeli tourists visas upon arrival.

A senior United Arab Emirates diplomat has openly acknowledged the unprecedented ban on tourists from Pakistan, meaning that tourists also targeted tourists and staff from twelve Muslim countries between the epidemic and the common UAE ties with Israel.

After a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed “the temporary nature of visa bans due to the Covid-19 breakout,” UAE government spokesman WAM said on Sunday.

He did not elaborate on the suspension of visas, which barred shortcomings from seeking a seven-sheikh union, where foreigners outnumbered about nine to one locals.

Saeed Mohammed, a tour operator at Arabian Nights Tours in Dubai, said on Monday that visa rates in Pakistani and other Mid-West countries had increased over the past few weeks. However, young and single men from other countries are denied entry, leading to speculation that the ban may be linked to security or visa-related concerns.
