UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Thursday that there was “a strong possibility” that his country and the European Union had failed to enter into a free trade agreement before the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31.
During an interview on Downing Street that was tested by UK broadcasters, the prime minister said it was “very likely” that both sides would fail to resolve their differences, and urged citizens and businesses to tighten Brexit’s non-profit arrangements.
The prime minister said the EU’s proposals “currently, were not appropriate for the UK,” citing concerns about blockchain desire to establish laws and procedures to prevent businesses in one country from oppressing their competitors abroad, also known as a level playing field.
Johnson also cited ongoing disagreements over the fishery as another major obstacle to reaching an agreement.
