LONDON – British Prime Minister Charles visited the Bank of England on Wednesday to highlight the role of the central bank in supporting the economy through the restrictions imposed on COVID-19.
The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were welcomed on Threadneedle Street by Bank Manager Andrew Bailey.
They met with those involved in the production of bank notes and spoke with the regional staff of the Bank.
The United Kingdom’s $ 3 trillion economy has been hit hard by restrictions on the spread of the virus.
