British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has appointed Dan Rosenfield, a business consultant and former Treasurer, as his new chief on Thursday.

Johnson is reorganizing his advisory team following the departure of Dominic Cummings earlier this month. Cummings was seen as the mastermind of Johnson’s strategy on Brexit and many other policies, and his exit was charged as an opportunity to ‘reset’ the British leader.

“The Prime Minister today appointed Dan Rosenfield as his new manager,” a statement from Johnson’s office said. He will take office on Downing Street on December 7 and officially take over as Chief of Staff on January 1

Rosenfield joins Hakluyt, a business and investment consulting firm, where he has been a major customer of international companies and a UK business head since 2016, the government said.

He previously worked for the Bank of America as the managing director of investment banking, and spent more than a decade working in the Treasury where he served as a senior assistant to former finance ministers Alistair Darling and George Osborne.
