Donald Trump said he would “be” at last “as the” coronavirus “would disappear” – as he emphasized that there would have to be more violence in the United States.
The president made the remarks in a separate debate in which he declined to say whether he would accept the result if he lost the November presidential election.
Mr Trump said the recent outbreak of disease in some parts of the United States was one of the highest in the world.
“It is because they have the best test facilities in the world. If we didn’t test it, you wouldn’t be able to show that chart. If we take a closer look, those numbers would be lower,” he told Fox News anchor Chris Wallace.
