US NEWS: U.S. President-elect Joe Biden receives Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine on live television

Democrat, Biden will inherit the challenges of delivering the vaccine to hundreds of millions of Americans, and the task of persuading people concerned about its development was rushed for political reasons to take it.

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden received his first Covid-19 injection shot live on television in Monday in an effort to boost security confidence before being widely distributed next year.

Biden said he would wage war against the coronavirus, which has killed more than 315,000 Americans and infected more than 17.5 million, which is crucial for him when he takes office on January 20. At 78 years of age, he is in the highest risk group for respiratory infections.

Democrat, Biden will inherit the challenges of delivering the vaccine to hundreds of millions of Americans, and the task of persuading people concerned about its development was rushed for political reasons to take it.

With his long-sleeved black shirt folded, Biden received an injection from Tabe Mase, a nurse and head of Employee Health Services at Christianana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, in front of reporters. The pictures were taken live on television.

After receiving the gun, a dose of vaccine developed by Pfizer Inc, Biden praised medical experts as “heroes”.

“I am doing this to show that people should be prepared when it comes to taking the vaccine. You don’t have to worry about it, ”said Biden. His wife, Jill Biden, who received the injection earlier in the day, was standing next to them.

But Biden also noted that the vaccine would take time to come out and that people should listen to medical professionals and not go on future holidays if possible.

He thanked scientists working on vaccines, adding: “I think the (Trump) administration deserves credit, to get this down with Operation Warp Speed.”

Elected Deputy President-elect Pamela Harris could receive a vaccine next week, Biden’s transformation team said.

Republican President Donald Trump has been grappling with the seriousness of the disease and is looking for a response from health experts who say it was unorganized, militaristic and sometimes indifferent to the science behind the disease.

The new American economy

Efforts to curb the economic downturn in the U.S. population in the epidemic were intensified on Sunday when conference leaders agreed on $ 900 billion to provide new first aid in months, and there could be a vote on Monday.

Biden on Monday re-elected members of his National Economic Council (NEC), bringing together a group of people working on economic policies and people and his reform office that he said would help free Americans from economic woes.

David Kamin, a former chief executive of Barack Obama at the White House, will be the NEC’s deputy director, while Bharat Ramamurti, a former economic adviser to Senator Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 campaign, will serve as NEC’s deputy director of finance and consumer transformation, Biden’s said in a statement.

Joelle Gamble will be a special assistant to the president on economic policy.

“This is not the time to go back to the way it was before – this is the time to build a new American economy that works for everyone,” Biden said in a statement.

Biden had already named Brian Deese, who helped lead Obama’s efforts to oust the automotive industry and negotiate a Paris climate agreement, to lead the council, which co-ordinates the country’s economic policies.

The future of Biden’s White House agenda will depend on the outcome of the January 5 senate election in Georgia, which will determine which party controls the upper house of the US Congress.

Harris left on Monday for Columbus, Georgia, to campaign on behalf of Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, Democratic Party representatives trapped in tight races with incumbent Republicans.

At a call-up meeting for candidates, Harris, who is currently the California manager, said he would return to Washington later in the day to vote on the incentive program.

Asked by a reporter if there were any plans to “spray” White House on the virus problems before the Biden administration came in, Harris said: “I don’t have the current situation for that.”

Trump was temporarily hospitalized on October and Covid-19, and many of his advisers and White House staff also contracted the virus.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the president and adviser to the White House, also had to campaign for Georgia Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

The outgoing President, making unsubstantiated allegations of widespread electoral fraud, has focused on trying to reverse his election losses and even daily deaths in Covid-19. His latest attempt at his campaign was an application to the US Supreme Court on Sunday in which legal experts said they would fail.
