WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump on Friday visited his brother Robert who has been hospitalized in New York and who the president described as “having a hard time.”
The details of Robert Trump’s illness were not immediately clear.
“I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time,” Trump told reporters Friday. “He’s in the hospital right now. He’s having a hard time.”
The president, who is expected to spend the weekend at his New Jersey golf resort, arrived at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan on Friday afternoon.
Speaking about his brother in Washington earlier in the day, Trump did not answer why his brother had been hospitalized.
